Society and reading: The X Festival of Books and Reading “Reading Chelyabinsk”

The X Anniversary Festival of Books and Reading "Reading Chelyabinsk" takes place on September 5, 2015 under the motto "Hurray! Ural! Literature!". On this day the Chelyabinsk Arbat - Kirovka - will turn into a literary street.

30 poets of the Ural school of poetry throughout the festival will perform their poems on the main stage at the Opera House.

Representatives of municipal and regional libraries will tell about interesting facts from the life of famous Russian writers, as well as organize literary exhibitions, games and quizzes.

Artists of the New Art Theater will start the relay "The whole day we read aloud" reading the famous poem "Vasily Terkin" by Alexander Twardowski, who this year would have turned 105 years old. Next, the book will be given the audience, and everyone will be able to read a few lines from the poem.

One of the most exciting events of the festival will be a literary quest "Finding Malachite Box", where the guests of the holiday will go in search of a literary treasure.

To give the books to the library will be possible in the framework of the action "Knigovorot vice versa", and for those who want to buy something new, will run the book fair "South ural book".

For children and adolescents 6 to 18 years will pass the literary creative contest "Become a new classic", and for the youngest guests of the festival will work "Children's Park of culture and reading".

Also as part of the festival will be held a ceremony of awarding the winners of "Read books about the war - your gift to the Day of Victory".
