History and culture: The exhibition “By Pushkin Roads” from the collection of the Pushkin Reserve in Stavropol

The exhibition "By Pushkin Roads" from the collection of the Pushkin Reserve opens on September 1, 2015 in the G. N. Prozritelev and G. K. Prave Stavropol State Museum-Reserve.

In Russian literature many wonderful works of poetry and prose are dedicated to the theme of road – their road impressions travelers widely reflected in the correspondence, memoirs, poems…The theme of road – is, in fact, the theme of human life, fortune. It is present in many works of A. S. Pushkin.

Historical and household items presented in the exhibition depict the image of the traveler of the XIX century and give an idea about the features of movement across the expanses of Russia for cartage. The decoration of the exhibition is objects of decorative art with beaded decor of the first half of the XIX century.
