30 October 2015

October 30, 2015 the Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Diaspora (Moscow) will hold a ceremony of the official granting of the archive of Russian school "Alexandrino" created in Nice in 1925 under the patronage of Grand Duke Andrey Vladimirovich.

The collection, which includes the official documents on the activities of the school, the curriculum, the selection of teaching staff, as well as the memories of students, programs of children's matinees and holidays, reflects the psychological climate among the representatives of the Russian intelligentsia, academic and religious circles, who did not give up in exile, believed in the revival of Russia and worked hard for the sake of it.

The archive was preserved and sent to Moscow by a student of the "Alexandrino" school Anna Smirnova-Marly, who went down in history as Anna Marly (awarded two Orders of the Legion of Honor), the author of the "Song of the Partisans" - the anthem of the Resistance during the Second World War.
