The Year of Literature in Russia 2015: Exhibition project “The Way of Dante. Tuscany - Moscow” in the Library of Foreign Literature

October 30, 2015, the Rudomino All-Russia State Library of Foreign Literature (Moscow) will host the opening of the international exhibition project "The Way of Dante. Tuscany - Moscow" timed to the 750th anniversary of the great thinker and poet, one of the most important figures in the history of literature and history of modern times, Dante Alighieri. The event is held within the Year of Literature in Russia together with the Regional Council of Tuscany and the Society of Dante in Italy.

This exhibition project in addition to the artistic value is a bridge in the intercultural dialogue between Russia and Italy.

Within the walls of the Library of Foreign Literature, the key work of Dante and his greatest achievement - the "Divine Comedy" - will bring together the works of two renowned artists with a very serious approach to the interpretation of this work and its symbolic component. These are the exhibitions "Meeting with Dante" of Julia Bugueva, Moscow graphic artist and sculptor, and "Dante in Symbols" of the artist from Italy Lolita Timofeeva.

“The Way of Dante. Tuscany - Moscow" project is a new interpretation of Dante by contemporary artists.

The exhibition runs until November 29, 2015.
