World History: Unique photos published in the devoted to the Winter War of 1939-1940 photo album

On October 28, 2015, the Federal Archival Agency presented a photo album entitled "Soviet-Finnish war. 1939-1940. The Fighting on the Karelian Isthmus" (Moscow, Novalis, 2015), prepared by the Russian State Military Archive (RSMA) with the financial support of the "Culture of Russia (2012-2018)" Federal Target Program.

The album includes 200 photographs from the collections of RSMA, most of them previously unpublished. Photos illustrate the battle scenes and front-line life, and familiarize with the portraits of heroes of fights on the Karelian Isthmus.

The album includes indexes. The Appendix contains information about the units and formations of the Red Army, acting on the Karelian Isthmus the entire period of the war with Finland.

The book is meant for historians, students and a wide range of readers.
