The Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts presents the "Though the Pages of "The Captain's Daughter." Pushkin in the Orenburg Region" exhibition. The exhibition opens on the 27th of October 2015 at the Museum of Ovanes Tumanyan (Yerevan, Armenia), and on October 24 the same exhibition opened in the building of the "Assembly of Kazakhstan People" in Aktobe.
Any Orenburg’s resident is proud that in 1833 the great poet Alexander Pushkin in order to collect material for his book about the Pugachv’s Riot visited their city, and at the same time he had a meeting with V. I. Dal, the famous lexicographer, - it is all described by many authors and praised by the artists. Orenburg graphic artist Andrei Filippovich Presnov hasn’t stayed away of this theme and created a remarkable series of "A. Pushkin and V. I. Dal in Orenburg", as well as the illustrations for A. S. Pushkin's work entitled "The Captain's Daughter."
At the heart of the exhibition are the series of works that will tell viewers about the presence of Pushkin in the Orenburg Region, with illustrations to the book "The Captain's Daughter", published in 1999 by "New Time" publishing house of V. V. Voldin in St. Petersburg.
