Russian culture abroad: The largest exhibition of Russian avant-garde opened in Mexico
The largest exhibition of Russian avant-garde opened in the capital of Mexico. The Palace of Fine Arts hosted about six hundred works of the most famous representatives of this school of fine arts. They were provided by several dozen Russian museums, including the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum.
In Latin American countries people are very interested in Russian art. In particular, all of the documents have already been prepared to open a branch of the Russian Museum in Cuba. It is planned that the government of the Island of Freedom will allocate a building in the center of the Cuban capital with a free rent.
The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Mexico Eduard Malayan reminded that the exhibition of such a level, which is housed by the main hall of the country, coincides with the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Mexican diplomatic relations.
Opening of the exhibition confirms that the cultural ties that were established many years ago between the distant countries still have not broken.
The exposition in Mexico City will run until the end of January next year.
