The Museum of Nature and Man (Khanty-Mansiysk) is hosting the exhibition "The Gold of Sarmatians" which features a collection of unique items from the Astrakhan Museum.

188 priceless works of jewelry found in the Astrakhan region and relating to the period of 4th century B.C. – 15th century A.D. are now exhibited in Western Siberia. More than 160 articles are made of precious metals, and the rest is made of bronze and iron. This is not the first “trip” of the collection, it had previously been exhibited in museums of Russia and Europe.

The opening of the exhibition was timed to the holding of the IV International Northern Archaeological Congress, one of the leading scientific archeological forums.
