Information technology and society: Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications made available guidelines to popularize public e-services

Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov held a meeting of a Sub-Commission on the use of information technology while providing public and municipal services of the Government Commission on the use of information technology to improve the quality of life and business environment. Participants of the meeting discussed the guidelines for the promotion of public e-services, the main indicators of functioning of e-government infrastructure, as well as the problems of connection of a number of new entrants to the system of interagency electronic interaction.

The meeting approved the guidelines of the Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications to inform citizens about the benefits of using public services in electronic form. The document was developed in order to elaborate a single system of informing about the benefits of public e-services and the formation of clear and simple language to communicate with citizens during the popularization.
