History and culture: The M. Gorky Film Studio opens the exhibition of old costumes

October 5, 2015 on the 1st line of GUM (Moscow) will be held the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Old costume in cinema” of the M. Gorky Film Studio, timed to the centenary of one of the oldest cinema studios on Russia.

The exposition – about 1oo items of clothing and accessories of different ages: from the middle of the XX century. All the items were involved in films of the cinema studio.

“The exhibition was being prepared almost for a year, the exposition features a number of unique, antique and rare items, - notes the curator of the exhibition Olga Polikarpova. – Some costumes are over 150 years: for example, the exposition features a dress of 1860s. We tried to preserve the beauty”.

The exhibition will run until October 31.
