The Russian language and society: The new dictionary of the Russian language is published in Russia

The Great Universal Dictionary of the Russian language came out of press. This is one-volume edition with more than a thousand pages. The author of the project was the doctor of philology, professor Valery Morkovkin.

Co-author of the dictionary, Ph.D., a leading researcher at the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language Galina Bogacheva Galina said that the dictionary included about thirty thousand words. In her opinion, "it is quite a unique publication". "It fully describes an array of words, which are the core of our lexical language. That is the description includes not only the lexical meaning, but also cultural studies", - she explained.
