The Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps has the largest collection of ancient artillery. Visitors of the museum know the largest of them. This is the famous musket (as in the old days often called cannon), called "Inrog" that is, "Unicorn". Musket was cast in 1577 by the famous Russian cannon and bell master Andrei Chokhov, creator of the famous "Tsar Cannon", and is a unique example of Russian masters of bronze casting. However, few people know that the birth of her second gun owes another cannon master - Semen Leontiev who restored it on the orders of Peter the Great.

On the occasion of the professional holiday the Artillery Museum presents previously unknown archival documents that allow learning more about long-term and fruitful activity of the talented Russian master caster Semen Leontiev.

The exhibition allows you to explore the unique archival drawings of guns, created by the master. In the windows is demonstrated a tale of affairs of commissioner copper Semen Leontiev (a kind of autobiography of the XVIII century), written by his own hand, miniature models of artillery of the XVIII century, engravings of St. Petersburg arsenal, as well as rare books on the history of artillery.

The exposition at the Museum of Artillery also presents "name" 5 pounds mortar of Leontiev, cast them in 1700.
