In Moscow at the Ushinsky Library will be established a center, which will be engaged in filling the school libraries of literature. This, speaking at the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO), was said by the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov.

"It is about filling the fiction with 40 thousand of school libraries. It turned out that since Soviet times the funds of fiction have not been updated. If the problem is with the textbooks, we have now decided - in schools are given complete sets of books, from the fiction there is a problem. In the villages and small towns, school libraries have become real cultural centers for people living nearby. We want to make sure that within a short time those books that are included in the school curriculum and those that are included in the program of extra-curricular reading, as well as the most important dictionaries and encyclopedias are available to every student", - said D. Livanov.

"This is a very serious problem, because I mean books not only in paper form, but also books on electronic media", - he added.

According to the minister, the mansion, which now houses the Ushinsky Library will be arranged and repaired. "In the XXI century these centers - is not just a book depository, but also a place for communication, meetings", - said Livanov.
