Internet and society: The largest parks and reserves of Russia are on Google maps

The largest Internet search engine enlarged its mapping service Google Street View with panoramas of the largest nature reserves, national parks and reserves in Russia. Types of Sochi National Park, Park "Volcanoes of Kamchatka" and the Altai and Kronotsky reserve the company filmed in cooperation with the Russian Geographical Society.

Now users can take a virtual walk and examine in detail the nature of Russia, to see Teletskoye Lake in the Altai Reserve and admire Sochi Park, enjoy the views of the volcanoes in Kluchevskaya and Stone in Kamchatka.

Russia's reserves have been filmed with the help of the tracker - a special backpack equipped with cameras. "To create the panorama, we have passed about 160 kilometers on the water at Lake Teletskoye in the Altai Territory and almost 1,300 kilometers in the air in Kamchatka. Filming took place in 60 different locations in the four reserves", - said at Google.
