Information technology and culture: Mobile application “Live pages” to study works of Russian classics launched

Samsung and the Award "Yasnaya Polyana" introduced a mobile app "Live pages" that allow a comprehensive study of the works of Russian classics.

The app "Live Pages" from Samsung, specifically released in the Year of Literature in Russia, reflecting the emerging trend of world science - association of information technology and the humanities, which allows seeing the classic work in a new way.

The first product, available in the annex, is Tolstoy's novel "War and Peace". The annex presents the original and the most popular edition of the novel "War and Peace", supplemented by translations and commentaries by historian and literary critic Lev Sobolev. Tolstoy's text is the main source of data to create interactive scenarios - with the help of mobile technologies and the work of linguists, readers can see the new facets of the product and features of the author's attitude to the events of history and heroes. Content to create interactive scenarios of interaction with the text Leo Tolstoy was developed by linguists group Tolstoy Digital with support of company Abbyy.
