History of Russia: Educational exhibition featuring the Rurik dynasty held in Novosibirsk

November 3, 2015, the Novosibirsk State Art Museum opened an educational exhibition featuring the Rurik dynasty.

The Rurik dynasty played a significant role in the history of Russia. During 740 years (from 862 to 1598 and 1606 - 1610) its representatives ruled in the territory of Russian lands. The Rurikids made a significant contribution to the development of the East Slavic statehood. They left a valualbe imprint on the spiritual life.

This educational exhibition introduces visitors to the history of Rurik dynasty, highlighting the main events, which is important for the perception of the visitors. It displays reproduction materials, which focus on particular historical figures of the Rurik dynasty and the period of their reign.
