
To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition of works of Russian artists “Victory! 1945-2015” in the Chinese city of Nanjing
The exhibition "Victory! 1945-2015", organized by the museum and the exhibition center "ROSIZO" was opened at the Art Gallery of Jiang Su province in Nanjing. Earlier the exhibition was shown in Beijing and Wuhan.
The exhibition is timed to the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War II. Its visitors will see works from the golden fund of Russian art by people of different generations. Among the works: "The parade on Red Square in Moscow on November 7, 1941" by Konstantin Juon, "Mother of the guerrilla" by Sergei Gerasimov, and the "Letter from the Front" by Alexander Laktionov that is familiar to many people in China's history textbooks.
In addition to paintings the exhibition includes two sculptures: a small copy of the statue "Motherland" height of 160 centimeters from the Museum "Battle of Stalingrad" and bust of woman-pilot Budanova from the State Tretyakov Gallery. The works from their collections were provided by 12 Russian museums.
The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of China and will continue until January 23, 2016.
