History and culture: The exhibition “New Year mood” in Saint-Petersburg

The A. S. Popov Central Museum of Communications (St. Petersburg) hosts the exhibition "New Year  mood".

The exhibition is devoted to the symbols of Christmas and New Year's postage stamps, postcards, envelopes and other collectibles. The basis of the exhibition consists of two sections from the funds of the A. S. Popov Central Museum of Communications: "Christmas stamps of the Russian Federation and the preparatory work to their publication", "Christmas on the postage stamps of the world". Several collections demonstrate Izdattsentr "Mark" and Philatelic Society in St. Petersburg.

The exhibition presents not only philately. Christmas decorations, cards, pocket calendars, newspapers, records, labels kindly provided by members of the St. Petersburg club history lovers postcard collectors and the Society of St. Petersburg. A variety of items is made up in the bright New Year mosaic, creating a festive atmosphere in the museum and a joyful mood.

Exhibition dedicated to favorite holiday will be interesting to all museum visitors, regardless of age, professional interests and hobbies.

The exhibition will run until February 20, 2016.
