Information technology and museums: Newspapers of 1930-50s to be scanned at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War

At the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War (Moscow) will be scanned about 100 thousnad newspapers of 193-50s with the help of scanner ELAR PlanScan series «А1В».

The conversion into the electronic form of graphics, photos, military maps is also included in the plans of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War. Digital copies of the reference to the description of museum objects are loaded in the accounting system, which optimizes the work of specialists in storage and accounting of historical and cultural values.

In addition, the museum plans to use electronic images of unique items for publication reprints, organizing exhibitions and other events for the presentation of historical and cultural values.
