Internet and museums: The updated website of the State Central Museum of Cinema is launched

In 2014, at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and the Museum of Cinema of Russian has been adopted its official development concept, the purpose of which - creating a unique modern center of learning and the promotion of Russian cinema. As part of this concept was created a website that over the next year and a half will be the main communication channel, the main area of ​​the museum to communicate with the audience.

The website museikino.ru - is a complete and comprehensive virtual incarnation of the Museum of Cinema. Some unique items are combined into virtual exhibitions devoted to important and familiar film audiences and the person of the Russian cinema. The relevant sections ("Persons" and "Films") contain a brief reference on the activities of film art, collections of quotations, photographs, sketches, storyboards, lists of awards and more. And with all the exhibits (to digitize that much has been done) can be found by using the section "Fund". Archives of cinema technique, film posters and posters, manuscripts and others are presented.

A number of special narrative projects are also being implemented. It is full of interesting facts and little-known details, quotations and unique illustrations, interactive elements, and game mechanics detailed stories about the iconic Russian films. 

The website has a section that allows you monitoring the progress of the reconstruction of the building of the future museum. It is assumed that in the new space area of 5440 square meters will be housed three cinemas, will be equipped area for permanent and thematic exhibitions, auditorium for lectures, open cafes and company store.  

The website also provides poster exhibitions, workshops, lectures and other activities of the Museum of Cinema and souvenirs.
