To the Year of Russian Cinema-2016: The Moscow Museum of Cinema to be engaged in promotion of the national cinema

The Museum of Cinema, which should soon start working in the Russian capital, will become a center of propaganda of Russian cinema, said Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Ministry of Culture. He said this during the St. Petersburg Cultural Forum.

The Minister recalled that the museum has already been allocated in one of the pavilions at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements. At the 5 thousand square meters will be housed the exhibition and lecture space. Also, the museum will not be able to do without a few cinemas halls.

In the following year, which has been declared the Year of Cinema, is planned set of actions, including Night of a movies, and the Day of the movies, shows in the open air. The reorganization will be completed in Gorky Film Studio, "Soyuzmultfilm" will move to its building, at the main studio of the Russian cartoons will be its own museum at VDNH.
