The Year of Literature in Russia-2015: The exhibition “The writer and the time” to the centenary anniversary of Konstantin Simonov in Saint-Petersburg

In the Year of Literature and the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War the Museum of the Political History of Russia (St. Petersburg) from December 14, 2015 presents the exhibition "The Writer and the time" dedicated to the centenary anniversary of the birth of the Soviet writer, poet and public figure Konstantin Simonov. On display there are documents, editions of Simonov's books with his inscriptions, posters performances and films based on his works, photos of different years, reflecting the way of life of the writer. Particular emphasis is placed on the works of K. M. Simonov during the Great Patriotic War. 

The exhibition features editions of his works of the Great Patriotic War, the writer's personal belongings, books with inscriptions of the author, posters and pictures from films based on his works, and etc. Of particular interest there are the fragments of the draft manuscript of the novel "The Living and the Dead" to look into the creative laboratory of the author.

The creation of the exhibition involved Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Russian State Archive of Contemporary History, the National Library of Russia, the Central State Archive in Moscow.
