Information technology and libraries: Virtual reading rooms of the Russian State Library are opened in Hungary
Two virtual reading rooms of the Russian State Library (RSL) are opened in Hungary. December 8 started working the reading room in the largest university in Hungary – the Lorand Eotvos Budapest University, and on December 9 the Hall of Pecs University is opened.
This is a joint project of the "Russian World" and the Russian State Library. Both virtual reading rooms will appear in the Russian Center opened in Budapest and Pécs fund "Russian world".
The Budapest and the University of Pecs are two famous Hungarian universities with a rich history. University in Budapest was founded in the XVII century, are here are studies 28 thousand students. And there was the first Hungarian University of Pecs back in 1361. This is one of the oldest universities in Europe, currently there are studying 16 thousand students.
The opening of virtual reading rooms of the RSL in Hungary - only the beginning of a joint project. December 17 online access to the collections of the library will be received by students of the University of Belgrade (Serbia) - the Russian Center is also running there.
