History and culture: The exhibition dedicated to Konstantin Stanislavsky in Madrid

4 December 2015

In the Higher Royal School of Dramatic Art of Madrid (Spain) was opened the photo exhibition "Stanislavsky. Theatrical revolution", prepared by the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Spain.

The exhibition tells about the life and work of Konstantin Stanislavsky, his first performance staged at the Moscow Art Academic Theatre "The Seagull" and "The Cherry Orchard". The originality of the exhibition lies in the fact that for the first time in Spain, you can get acquainted with the scenery and costume sketches, which were used in the performances of the Moscow Art Theater, which will undoubtedly be of great interest to students of acting, drama and art stagecraft enrolled in the school of dramatic art.

The exhibition dedicated to Stanislavsky is held as part of a package of measures planned by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Madrid and the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art, and will last until December 18.
