Electronic libraries: The Interagency Council on the Development of National Electronic Library is approved

November 29, 2015 at the website of the Government of Russia is published Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on November 26, 2015 № 2421-r, which approved the composition of the Interagency Council on the development of the National Electronic Library.

By the resolution of the Government on 1 September 2015 № 918 was established the Interagency Council on the development of the National Electronic Library and approved regulations on it.

The main aim of the Council - the organization of interaction between the executive and legislative authorities, libraries, representatives of the professional community and the public in the process of implementation of the project on development of the National Electronic Library on the basis of analysis of world and domestic experience in the field of information library case.

By signed a decree was approved the composition of the Board. It included representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Education, the State Archive, the Rospechat, FANO Russia, the State Duma, ITAR-TASS, the Russian Book Union, heads of libraries: A. P. Vershinin - Director General of the Presidential Library, A. I. Visliy - Director General of the Russian State Library, V. V. Duda - CEO of the M. I. Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature, A. V. Likhomanov – Director General of the National Library of Russia, J. L. Schreiber – Director General of the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of Russia.

The decision will allow proving the interagency cooperation in the framework of the project on the development of the National Electronic Library.
