World culture: The exhibition “Spanish art in the Hermitage” is opened at the Exhibition center “Hermitage-Amsterdam”

November 27, 2105 at the Exhibition-center “Hermitage-Amsterdam” (the Netherlands) was opened regular exhibition “Spanish art from the Hermitage”. 

The exhibition features 255 exhibits from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum – the most significant collection of Spanish painting beyond the Iberian Peninsula. Works of the XVI - beginning of XX century - paintings and drawings, weapons, objects of decorative art allow considering the Spanish art in all its diversity. The exhibition is retrospective. For the first time the art of Spain in such a large extent is represented on the banks of the Amstel.

The exposition is complemented with decorative-applied art of the XIV-XIX centuries: bronze and silver items, carved bone, ceramics, painted with metal luster, glass.
