Society and Culture: The "Icon in Russian Literature and Culture" XII International Scientific Conference in Moscow

On January 28-30, 2016, the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Centre for the Study of the Russian Diaspora (Moscow), the National Research Nuclear University - MEPhI, and the Museum of Russian Icons carry the XII International Scientific Conference entitled the "Icon in Russian Literature and Culture."

The main topics for discussion at the meetings are: the theology of icons, iconology, iconography, aesthetics of the icon, the icon and the word, an icon in the literature, the icon in the literature of the Russian diaspora, the word in the icon, the literature about the icon, icon ability of verbal art image, “ikonotopos” and “eonotopos” - the spatio-temporal and the spatio-eternal entity of icon in fiction.
