History and culture: History of Russian faience and porcelain is presented at the exhibition in Moscow

January 21, 2016 in the Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art (Moscow), with the participation of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky took place the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Russian faience and porcelain of the Kuznetsovs and Konakovo faience from the private collection".

The exhibition features items and figures, which were issued by the Partnership of M. S. Kuznetsov, enterprises I. E. Kuznetsov and Konakovo faience factory (ex-factory of Tver Mikhail Kuznetsov).

A significant part of the exhibits make sculptures depicting scenes from rural and urban life - traders, hawkers, street musicians, dancer. "Pre-revolutionary" part of the collection is complemented with the examples of Soviet porcelain and earthenware, issued in the 1920s - 1950s by product model of Dmitrov, Dulevo and Tver factories M. S. Kuznetsov.

The Soviet period of 1940-1970s is presented with domestic earthenware objects represented the Soviet era, made in the Konakovo faience factory: mass production of the company, which gives an idea of ​​the changing tastes in the Soviet period, and unusual works, curious function.

Of great interest is a "cultural dialogue" between popular literature, paintings and drawings, theatrical productions and manufactures products in factories. The sources for the creative processing of steel painting G. G. Myasoedov ("The Sower"), V. G. Perov ("Hunters at Rest"), a play by A. N. Ostrovsky "Bride", "Storm" and others. The exhibition presents 400 subjects.
