Internet and culture: The A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum presented Internet project “Collection-Online”

At the end of 2015 the A. A. Bakhrushin Theater Museum (Moscow) presented the new project "Collection-Online", which is the museum collection in the public domain by combining objects thematically. With the first topics of "Artists of the Chamber Theatre" and "Russian Avant-Garde" is already available at the website of the museum. Following the next theme: "Masterpieces of the Bakhrushin Museum", "Golovin A. Y.", "K. S. Stanislavsky", "Meyerhold and artists". 

Since 2009, the museum began to automate accounting and storage of museum values. Currently, the database contains the description of 1 million objects, a third of them with the image.

Interface of the project is bilingual (English and Russian), the image of each object is accompanied by a brief summary. Implemented advanced search articles by author, theater, performances, collections, dating.

The A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum hundred and twenty years (founded in 1894). The beginning and the direction of the collection is necessary comes from a merchant family by Alexei Alexandrovich Bakhrushin. Throughout the life of the museum collection of activities is added, amounting to more than 1.5 million subjects today, showing all aspects of the theatrical process. These are museum objects, enabling instant touch of theatrical activity: photos of scenes from performances, costumes and scenery, posters and programs, theatrical costumes and props, archival materials.
