Russian culture abroad: The Center of Russian art on the Chinese island of Hainan started working

With the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and its foreign representative office in China was started working the Center of Russian art in Chinese island of Hainan, which is based on the ethnographic park Binlangu.

Now the Center provides a gallery of Russian art. In the near future we are going present here the first group of Russian artists for plein air - the creation of works of art in the open air.

It is planned that in future the collection of the Centre will be supplemented by other exhibits relevant to the culture of Russia.

In the development of the project are interested representatives of science and culture of both countries. As noted in the Rossotrudnichestvo, cultural relations of the peoples of our countries have a rich history. Establishment of the Centre of Russian art will increase further rapprochement of cultures and the strengthening of Russian-Chinese friendship.

The center of Russian art was created with the assistance of the Chinese-Russian Center for the exchange of culture and arts achievements. This center, acting in Tianjin in 2009, promotes Russian culture in China by organizing exhibitions of Russian artists, concerts, dance clubs, and many other forms of activity.
