8 January 2016

New exhibition with a fairy "Tales of the Russian North" title remains open until February 14, 2016, in the East building of the Stables Museum Complex of the Sergiev Posad State National Park and Museum (Moscow Region). Russian North is an old, counting in its history more than one hundred years, major center of folk art. Many historical and cultural monuments, ancient customs and rituals, olden songs and legends, which the ethnographers and folklorists have collected in our time, remained in this region.

The idea of the exhibition was born a few years ago. The preparation process, granting a big load of work for the museum staff, as many things demanded restoration, has begun.

The exhibition is devoted to the material and spiritual culture of the North, an edge that did not experience serfdom, and never reached by a war.
