World history: The exhibition “Russia and Spain in the fight for peace” is held in Barcelona

The Russian-Catalan Cultural Center "Commonwealth" in Barcelona opened the exhibition "Russia and Spain in the fight for peace" from the funds of the Museum-Reserve "The Battle of Stalingrad".

The project was prepared with the support of the Volgograd regional branch of the Russian military-historical society, and its opening was timed to the Defender of the Fatherland Day. The opening ceremony was attended by the leaders of associations of compatriots, and the guest of honor was the Marceline Gonzalez - the daughter of a military pilot who took part in the Spanish Civil War. Her childhood and youth were held in Russia, to which she has retained a great love and respect.

"Together, we have been able to implement interesting projects, which without a doubt will play a very important role in creating a positive image of Russia in Spain, as well as strengthening of the national-patriotic education of the younger generation", - said Dr. of Cultural Studies, Professor of the University of Barcelona, President of the Association "Commonwealth" Marina Saifullina.
