Memory of Russia: The exhibition “In memory – Afghanistan” to the Day of Memory of soldiers-internationalists is opened in Moscow

The exhibition "In memory - Afghanistan" to the Day of memory of soldiers-internationalists in Russia and the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, opens on February 15, 2016 at the Museum of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia.

The exhibition introduces the combat biographies of soldiers-internationalists, courageously performed their duty outside the Motherland during the Afghan war of 1979-1989.

In addition to war relics and personal belongings of the Heroes who have not previously been exhibited to the public, atmosphere of harsh everyday life of soldiers-internationalists helps to convey a collection of photos taken by Soviet correspondents in the Republic of Afghanistan in 1980s.
