International relations: Russian and Italy to cooperate in eth file of culture and education

In Milan was held the meeting of the Working Group on Culture and Tourism in the framework of the Russian-Italian Council on Economic, Industrial and Monetary and Financial Cooperation.

At the meeting the sides discussed the Roadmap of Russian-Italian cooperation in the field of culture and tourism in 2016. The joint plans for 2016 include more than 30 events in the museum, theater, circus art and cinematography. 

They are the organization of the exhibition "Masterpieces of the Romanov House" from the collection of the Museum "Peterhof"; the realization of the joint Russian-Italian film project under the leadership of Andrei Konchalovsky (movie «Il peccato»), cooperation with the Foundation Feltrinelli on the projects dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution; part of the A. V. Shchusev State Museum of Architecture in the Milan Triennale, "The 21st century. The design after design" (April-September 2016).

Particular attention was paid to the development of tourism. The parties agreed that the synergy of culture and tourism - this is the main way of social and economic development of regions of Russia and Italy.

In Italy, 2016 was declared the Year of alternative routes. The parties agreed to cooperate on the opening of a national tourist office in Milan in 2016, the creation of new routes and historic single calendar event management. The Italian side proposed a new tourism product for Russian tourists - a package tour that includes famous Italian opera festivals.
