Information technology and society: Results of the Russian research to be combined into a single database

The results of research carried out in Russia will be combined into a single database for the benefit of the federal ministries and departments.

According to the deputy head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Chairman of the Military-Scientific Committee, Lieutenant-General Igor Makushev, the database will be created not only in the Ministry of Defense. Similar activities are aimed at creating databases, will be held at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry, as well as other federal agencies that are related to research activities.

The main task when creating this type of database is the reconciliation of data in a single information space. The project will be implemented by the largest Russian companies, which operate in the field of information technology. Direct participation in it will be taken by the organization of the Ministry of Defence.

It is expected that the first layout of hardware and software, which will include elements of the database, will be presented at the end of 2016, said Igor Makushev.
