Information technology and culture: The project “Virtual reconstruction of the house of Karamzins on the Crown

January 26, 2016, in the year of the 250th anniversary of the birth of a historian, writer, publicist Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin, in the I. A. Goncharov Central City Library in Ulyanovsk was held a round table "Virtual reconstruction of the house Karamzins on the Crown".

The virtual reconstruction of the house of Karamzins - a unique opportunity to preserve for future generations a variety of events in the life of both the individual and the whole country, by considering the many historical facts in the same space and time. 3D-tour of the house of Karamzins will study the life of the provincial urban nobility of the XVIII-XIX centuries. 

This project was developed by a team of Centralized Library System of the city of Ulyanovsk and its partners, including the Federal Reserve Museum "Homeland of V. I. Lenin", the All-Russian Pushkin Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum-Reserve "Ostafyevo" and the State Archive of the Ulyanovsk region with the support of cultural and leisure activities of the Administration of the city of Ulyanovsk.

"There was the house of Vasily Mikhailovich Karamzin on the Crown, which was sold to the Treasury. This is one of the most beautiful houses of Simbirsk. In real life, unfortunately, it cannot be restored. But the technology allows us to reconstruct it in 3D reality", - noted the director of the Centralized Library System Olga Slepova.

It is assumed that the virtual reconstruction of the house of Karamzins to the Crown will be presented in the context in which on the first floor of the developers show porch, entrance hall, corridor and seven rooms on the second - the front, two living rooms, a hall, a bedroom, a lackey, a snack bar and restroom room. Also, the resource will be laid with lifetime editions of Nikolai Karamzin, photo, video and audio materials associated with the work of the writer and are in the fund of the centralized library system.
