History of Russia: The exhibition “This long-awaited day” to the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the city of Chudovo from Nazi invaders

January 29, 2016 in the Small Hall of the Art Gallery of Chudovo (the Novgorod region) was opened the exhibition "This long-awaited day" dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the city of Chudovo from the Nazi invaders.

The exhibition, prepared by specialists of the Chudovo Regional Museum, presents documents and photos of the war years, which tell of the suffering endured by Chudovo residents during the Nazi occupation; the courage of the soldiers and officers of the Red Army liberated the Chudovo land from the enemy in January 1944; the first steps to restore their native land, burnt by war.
