Russian culture abroad: The Russian Center is opened in Bratislava

March 30, 2016 in Bratislava (Slovakia) in the European Fund for Slavic Literature and Culture, took place the opening the Russian Center.

The opening ceremony was attended by officials, public figures, representatives of the creative intelligentsia, students of Russian philology and grammar of the Slovak capital. Friends and partners from other cities in Slovakia, Austria and Hungary arrived. The opening ceremony of the Russian Center was attended by the Russian Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Alexei Fedotov. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, and other countries - Belarus, Spain, Brazil.

All the participants of the ceremony had the opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibits of the exhibitions taking place in the same time in Aircraft Gallery. Art exhibition, held in the framework of the International academic research project "Between the Volga and the Danube," brought together artists from Russia and 10 European countries of the Danube basin: Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine and Moldova. Within the framework of the art exhibition "Environmental Art" are presented works of renowned Slovak artists - painter Milan Barton and photo artist Mir Gazidlo.
