
Peoples of Russia: The art of Kazan Tatars is presented at the exhibition in the M. A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve
The excursion and exhibition center "People's House" of the M. A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve (the Rostov region) opened the exhibition "Arts and Crafts of the Kazan Tatars: the past and the present", presented by the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan - the largest regional museum in Russia.
The collection of the National Museum houses more than 900 thousand unique items telling about the cultural and historical heritage of the peoples of Tatarstan, Russia and the world. One of ethnographic collections - monuments of arts and crafts of the Kazan Tatars.
There are presented the details of the costume and everyday objects of cult destination, filled with colorful intricate patterns created by the needle of Tatar masters. For centuries, gold embroidery and multicolored silk thread was one of the most prosperous industries of Kazan and the Kazan region.
The art of calligraphy is presented in pictorial, graphic and embroidered Shamail - decorative panels of religious and moral content, decorated the interior of the Tatar houses.
The exhibition will run till May 15, 2016.
