Memory of Russia: The collection “Military-Historical routes of Russia” is presented

The Federal Agency for Tourism together with the Russian Military and Historical Society launched the folio “The Military-Historical routes of Russia”, dedicated toteh glorious history of the Fatherland, the heroism of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers.

As a result of competition for the best military-historical route, conducted by the Russian Military-Historical society, in each of the nine federal districts of the country were the winners, whose routes were the basis of the collection. In addition, there are included other popular routes. For example, the Astrakhan region is represented in the collection route "Astrakhan - the southern outpost of Russia", which tells about the actions of the Red Banner Caspian Flotilla during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The tourist route includes visits to parking Caspian flotilla ships, a plaque commemorating the ice crossing, memorial T-34-85, a monument to the lost ships and the Museum of Military Glory.

According to Vladimir Medinsky, the Minister of Culture of Russia, the Chairman of the Russian military-historical society, the basic idea of the project - to interest more people in the events of our history, which still affect each of us, making up a point of pride and glory of Russia.
