Information technology and Russian regions: "To Smolensk for a Day" mobile audio guide has been launched

14 March 2016

Starting on March 11, 2016, tourists coming to the ancient Russian city of Smolensk along with excursions over Smolensk will also be offered to explore the city's key sightseeing using the izi.TRAVEL free audio guide. "To Smolensk for a Day" application covers 48 sites in Smolensk.

This route is focused on individual travelers, who have only 1 day to explore the city-hero of Smolensk. The application is built so that at the approach to any particular site it automatically, using global positioning data, activates an audio guide with information about the object.

The service is available for the owners of any smartphones running on Android or iOS systems.

Earlier the other audio guides over Smolensk with information about the Art Gallery and the Museum of Admiral Nakhimov were available within the izi.TRAVEL application. Now tourists can take advantage of the free tourist maps of Smolensk and a guide on VisitSmolensk.ru along with convenient audio guide.
