The Year of Russian Cinema 2016: "Soviet Film Classic on the Big Screen" program has taken off in St. Petersburg

The Rodina movie theater in St. Petersburg has begun the "Soviet Film Classic on the Big Screen" program within the framework of the Year of Russian Cinema. The program was opened with the "Chapaev" movie, created by Vasilyev brothers and produced at Lenfilm studios in 1934.

"We will demonstrate the outstanding films of the last century from the archives of the Lenfilm and Mosfilm studios. The audience will be able to follow the pathway of development of national cinema", - was explained at the Rodina Theater.

Shows of the film classics will take place in the theater twice a month until the end of the year.
