Libraries and society: "Manuscript Depot - 2016" Annual Conference in the National Library of Russia

The traditional annual "Manuscript Depot - 2016" conference begins to work on March 11, 2016, in the conference hall of the Main Building of the Russian National Library (St. Petersburg).

The conference is timed to the opening day of the Manuscript Depot that laid foundation to the oldest branch of the Imperial Public Library (now the Department of Manuscripts).

Today 433,000 manuscripts in more than 100 languages are being kept here. More than half a century Department of Manuscripts through its conference informs public at large about the new researches and documents.
