Society and church: Patriarch Kirill will lead the Society of Russian Literature

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill will participate in the establishment of the Society of Russian Literature and will head it. He said this at the session of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, which took place in the historical park "Russia is my History" at VDNH in Moscow.

The Patriarch stated that the proposal to create and lead the Society of Russian Literature came from Russian President Vladimir Putin a few months ago.

"I accepted this proposal, precisely because it is about the human dimension of our lives, society and state, and the human dimension - that is part of the spiritual responsibility of the Church, namely the humanitarian aspect of human life is included in what we call the pastoral care of the Church", - said the Patriarch.

In the 57th Pavilion of VDNH Exhibition Center, where the meeting of the Patriarchal Council for Culture took place, the historical park "Russia is my History" is located, - the project which is implemented with the support of the Government of Moscow. At the park basis are the expositions created with use of the latest multimedia technologies and dedicated to specific stages in the history of Russia.

At the session of the Patriarchal Council for Culture Secretary of the Board, Egoryevsky Bishop Tikhon (Shevkunov) announced that the branches of the "Russia is my History" interactive park will be built in different regions of the Russian Federation.
