History and culture: The V All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference “Symbols of Russia: the past and the present” in Ryazan

The Government of the Ryazan region, Russia's Ministry of Culture, the Public Chamber of the Ryazan region, the Ryazan regional branch of the Russian military-historical society, the Russian Library Association, the M. Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library hold on April 19-21, 2016 the Fifth All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Symbols of Russia: the past and the present". Conference supports the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation.

The conference aims to contribute to the consolidation of federal and regional institutions, public organizations, scientific and professional capacity of scientists and researchers working with the state symbols, for the formation of patriotic consciousness of Russian citizens as a spiritual reference point and the most important resource of a modern Russian society.

The conference program includes the following events:

- Extended plenary session with the participation of members of the Heraldry Council under the President of Russian Federation (reports, messages);

- Meeting of the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation;

- Thematic sections.

The conference will be attended by representatives of the federal authorities of the Russian military-historical society, the Russian Historical Society, heads and specialists of regional and local public authorities in the field of heraldry experts, employees of federal, regional and municipal libraries and museums, representatives of chambers of subjects of the Russian Federation, higher and secondary special educational institutions and schools, historical and patriotic associations, the journalistic community.
