World history and culture: The exhibition “Carnival of Venice” in Saint-Petersburg

The Mikhailovsky Castle (the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg) from March 3 to May 30, 2016 hosts the exhibition "The Carnival of Venice".

The brilliant and fabulous holiday, pleasing audiences annually in February - one of the most popular and exciting topics for many photographers. To capture images on forever elusive image of Venice, pass the solemn celebration and the game atmosphere, the spirit of the Venetian carnival is both complex and exciting challenge for the masters of photography. In early spring, the Russian Museum presents the most vivid images and views of the Venetian carnival at the exhibition of photos by Mikhail Shemyakin, Alexander Tyagny-Ryadno, Vladimir Balabnev and others. The exhibition includes about 100 works by contemporary Russian photographers.
