Museums of Russia: The National Museum of Decorative and Applied Art presents the updated exposition of works of the XVIII – the first third of the XIX century

Within the celebration of the 35th anniversary the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum (Moscow) on April 26, 2016 presents an updated permanent exhibition "Arts and Crafts of Russia of the XVIII - the first third of the XIX century".

Articles presented here - alive milestones indicating the emergence and flowering of Russian culture in the bosom of the European cultural tradition in modern times. They sealed the change of lifestyle and artistic landmarks, the transformation of the old and the new material forms, techniques, and even the kinds of arts and crafts.

The basis of the new exhibition design is the principle of the demonstration of exhibits as unique art objects, which are incorporated into the thematic, stylistic and typological units. This solution allows us to estimate the value of each item in terms of time, the style of a particular type of arts and crafts, and focuses on his artistic self-worth.

This spatial resolution exposure will allow the museum most effective and interesting to organize tours and special programs. The most interesting and significant exhibits will feature advanced annotation, as well as support for QR-codes, through which visitors can obtain more detailed information. The exposition is equipped with a modern system of lighting equipment. Due to the high interactivity, a new exhibition promises to be more lively and interesting, as well as to promote creative dialogue with visitors, especially children and youth audience.
