To the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory: The historical and documentary exhibition “1941. The headquarters of Victory” in Moscow

May 5, 2016 in the Moscow State Exhibition Hall "New Manege will be open a historical and documentary exhibition "1941. The headquarters of Victory" from the series of five annual exhibitions devoted to the topic of public administration during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

The exposition covers the initial period of war from 22 June to 31 December 1941, it includes more than 750 documents and 200 exhibits. The basis of the exhibition is archival documents of the USSR State Defense Committee (SDC), the Supreme Command and the General Staff of the Red Army, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b), the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the personal assets of J. V. Stalin, A. A. Zhdanov, V. M. Molotov, A. I. Mikoyan, G. M. Malenkov, and others. This system allows revealing a documentary historical character of the main events of the initial period of the Great Patriotic war.

The basis of the most important documents of the exhibition will provide visitors with the opportunity to look at the history of life and the defense of the country through the prism of the activity of the higher state administration during the war; exhibits will tell about the main historical stages of development management system in extreme crisis, which put the state and society to the brink of physical survival.

The exhibition will run until May 6 to June 26, 2016.
