History of Russia: The Youth Alexander Nevsky Readings in Pskov

April 19, 2016 in Pskov was held the annual regional youth Alexander Nevsky readings that traditionally bring together pupils, students of the Pskov and the Leningrad regions and the Republic of Latvia of the Rezekne region.

The organizer of the International Alexander Nevsky readings for the past many years is the V. A. Kaverin Regional Library for Children and Youth. In 2016, they are dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of Russian presence on Mount Athos and Cross Year of Russia and Greece.

As part of the event several sections were presented: "Alexander Nevsky and the Orthodox world", "The Shining Glory of St. Alexander Nevsky", "Russia and Greece" as well as a plenary session.

In addition, it was opened a book exhibition "Russia and Greece" from the collections of the Pskov Regional Universal Scientific Library, the library of the temple of St. Alexander Nevsky and the library of the Pskov State University.
