Information technology and museums: The information and navigation system “The Mikhailovsky Castle. Real and Lost” is presented in Saint-Petersburg

The Mikhailovsky Castle (the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg) hosts an information and navigation system "The Mikhailovsky Castle. Real and Lost".

The navigation system is available on the touch interactive table that allows visitors to easily interact with the app content - to get acquainted with the castle era of Paul I (location of the premises, its inhabitants) with a modern exposition. The program makes it possible to quickly and in a visual form to receive the necessary information, to navigate in space, to think their own route of movement in the museum halls.

The navigation using a set of recognizable characters prompts allows the user to easily switch between the intuitive form circuits of three floors of the castle and the two periods (current and historical). When one of the selected zones appears on the screen unit for more information: texts of lost interiors of the era of Paul I, the images, works of art, as well as information about the lock housed in the modern exhibition and temporary exhibitions.

Information and Navigation System "The Mikhailovsky Castle. Real and Lost" will turn a visit to the museum exhibition on a fascinating journey into the historical past of the castle and its museum existence today. The program is created on the instructions of the Ministry of Culture of Russia in the framework of the project of the Mikhailovsky Castle transformation into a modern, interactive museum - "Theatre of Russian history. The saga of the Romanov dynasty" in conjunction with "Askrin".
